Liz’s practice encompasses a broad range of civil, commercial and securities litigation matters. Prior to joining the firm in 2020, Liz articled and summered at a leading global law firm. She also completed a secondment at the Ontario Securities Commission’s Enforcement Branch.
Liz graduated from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law, where she was involved in various mooting and research activities. She participated in the 2018 Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot, where she placed in the top two appellant teams and received the second highest individual oralist score. She was a research assistant to Professor Richard Moon, focusing on freedom of expression and freedom of religion issues. In her second year of law school, Liz conducted supervised research under Professor Shanthi Senthe, focusing on the application of the Business Judgment Rule in Canada and the US.
Prior to her legal studies, Liz held legislative affairs and issues management positions in the offices of several senior provincial cabinet ministers in Ontario. These included in the Office of the Premier, and the offices of the Attorney General and the Minister of Finance.
