Michael has a commercial litigation practice that focuses on corporate and securities related matters. Michael's practice includes proceedings before securities regulators, contractual and shareholder disputes, investment loss and other professional negligence claims, employment litigation, class actions, and other complex commercial litigation. Michael has a broad background in civil litigation and has been involved in a diverse array of cases, including disputes in the areas of insolvency, pensions, real estate, condominiums, construction and intellectual property.
Michael regularly represents individual and corporate clients before courts, regulatory tribunals and in regulatory investigations. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association (MFDA), and also has experience in commercial arbitration.
Michael joined the firm in 2014 after articling and then practicing as a litigation associate at a major national law firm. Prior to commencing his legal studies, Michael worked in the commercial real estate industry.
