April has a general corporate litigation practice with a focus on securities matters. She has experience working on a wide range of litigation files, including commercial trials, commercial injunctions, and an Ontario Securities Commission investigation for insider trading.
Prior to law school, April interned in newsrooms including CNN in New York and Al Jazeera English in Washington, D.C. While in undergrad at McGill University, she co-created and produced a student cooking show on campus called “The Hot Plate”. She developed the show into a profitable business and managed sponsorships, syndicated content and media relationships. She won first place at McGill University’s Dobson Cup in 2010 and first place at the MaRS UpStart Business Competition in 2011 for this venture.
April joined the firm in 2015 after articling at a major national law firm.
